1. Term of Residency
The residency period will commence on 01/01/2025 and will end on 30/06/2025, unless otherwise extended or terminated in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.
2. Residency Fee
The Artist agrees to contribute £50 per month towards energy usage. This fee is due on the 1st of each month and shall be paid to Coachworks via Standing Order.
3. Studio Access and Use

The Artist will have access to the studio space from 24Hours 7 days a week; except for when Coachworks requires the space to be used for purposes such as private hire.

The studio space is to be used solely for artistic activities and related work. Any other use must be approved in writing by Coachworks.
4. Energy Usage
The Artist is responsible for responsible energy consumption within the studio. The monthly fee covers standard energy use; excessive use may incur additional charges.
5. Sustainable Materials
The Artist is encouraged to use sustainable materials in their work to support environmental conservation and reduce waste. This includes, but is not limited to, sourcing eco-friendly and recycled materials, minimizing the use of harmful substances, and adopting practices that promote sustainability.
6. Artwork Creation
During the six-month residency term, the Artist will produce one large piece of artwork for Coachworks or several smaller pieces. These artworks will become part of the fabric of Coachworks, Designs will be applied to designated areas such as container units, planers, walls, etc within the Coachworks premises. The materials required for creating these artworks must be provided by the Artist. The artwork must remain at Coachworks one the residency is complete.
7. Responsibilities of the Artist

Maintain the cleanliness and order of the studio space.

Respect the shared nature of the studio and cooperate with other residents.

Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Report any damages or issues to the Coachworks management promptly.
8. Responsibilities of Coachworks

Provide a clean and safe working environment.

Ensure that the studio is equipped with the necessary utilities and basic facilities.

Address any maintenance issues in a timely manner.
9. Exhibition
Between Months 5 - 6 the artist will be invited to hold a exhibition of their works in our Cornstore where they will be able to sell their work commission free.
10. Termination
Coachworks may terminate this Agreement with 1 months’ notice period. The Artist must vacate the studio by the end of the notice period and leave the space in good condition.
11. Liability
Coachworks is not liable for any personal injury or property damage incurred by the Artist while using the studio space. The Artist is encouraged to obtain their own insurance.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of United Kingdom.
